Project Name
Pro Mujer Year in Review 2021
The Mission: Pro Mujer works to empower underserved women in Latin America. 2021 was a monumental year and they needed a Year in Review webpage to showcase it.
The Challenge
When you are an organization that seems to never sleep, you have a lot of accomplishments to look back on at the end of the year. And this is the enviable position my client was in when they tasked me with creating a single webpage to encompass and celebrate all of them. Pro Mujer’s Year in Review needed to elaborate on several high-impact projects, incorporate several types of media, research findings, outcomes, and highlight the women who have not only been impacted by Pro Mujer, but who are now impacting their communities because of them.
In one page. That was the challenge.
My Approach
I knew this would be a long one page, but in reality, with all of the accomplishments and items they wanted to feature, this could have been a 40 page PDF. But I needed to do it in a single webpage that kept the user intrigued and engaged. I incorporated many elements where information could be kept to a minimum on page, requiring the user to click to access more. It was my job to encourage them to do so, using custom graphics, user-friendly information blocks, beautiful images, and an infrastructure that never became repetitive. Every scroll brings a new experience. Every click, a new way of presenting information.
The Results
I created a beautiful, responsive, and user-friendly webpage to showcase Pro Mujer’s many accomplishments in the very challenging pandemic year of 2021. The project was one of the more challenging I’ve had – I was working with people in Colombia, Mexico, and Washington DC all at once, on a tight schedule, with more information than would be seemingly possible to put in a single webpage.
But we did it. And we did it well.
